’s Agency for Assuring Higher Education Quality is the institution responsible for authorizing curricula and higher education institutions, as regarding their quality standards.

Accordingly, A.R.A.C.I.S. has the following duties:

• The periodic elaboration of authorizing methodology and standards for several education programs and institutions to be advised by the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, and approved by the Executive;

• Evaluates and advance, based on standards’ ground and Executive approved methodology, by request or by initiative, the accreditation of institutions and their study programs;

• It conceive and periodically review, based on good confirmed practices, national strategies and performance relevant indicators on evaluating and assuring higher education quality;

• Collaborates with the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation and with the Romanian Agency for Secondary Education Quality Endurances (ARACIP) on elaborating and promoting the determined policies and strategies for increasing educational quality in ;
• Performs programs and institutions quality, when especially required by the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation. The terms of this activity are contractually established.
