Presentation of Delphi Consultation Outcomes Conference
The outcomes of the consultation on education policies, which included over 1,900 participants, were presented and discussed during the “Presentation of Delphi Consultation Outcomes Conference”, on September 27, 2010, at the Bucharest University of Agronomic and Veterinary Medicine (the Faculty of Management, Economic Engineering and Rural Development).
The debates included over 150 participants, members of university quality assurance and research committees, along with the international foresight experts, Peter Bishop and Roumiana Gotseva.
The goal of the “Quality and Leadership for Higher Romanian Education” project is to prepare a strategic vision of the development of Romanian higher education in 2025.
To reach this main goal, the project is based on a large-scale consultation process with experts and key system actors, involving several stages (and uses foresight methodology).
Until now, five expert panels focusing on various fields of interest have produced a set of fundamental analyses (the documents are available here), which served as the basis for scenario-building about the future of Romanian higher education.
At this stage of the national consultation, a further nine expert panels were assigned to formulate a set of public policy proposals based on the previously built scenarios that underlie the vision. These proposals were subjected to a large-scale Delphi consultation process.
